Intercollegiate Document includes clear guidance on safeguarding children training requirements for all health care staff. The Intercollegiate Document 2019 is referenced through the NHSE Safeguarding Policy and includes the following mandatory safeguarding children training requirements:

A blended approach to meeting safeguarding children training competencies for Level 1 to 4:

As detailed within the Intercollegiate Document a blended approach to training can be taken, when looking at training and development opportunities made up of e-Learning, face to face training, and multi-agency face to face events. Multi-agency learning and development opportunities could include attendance at case conferences or Child Protection meetings. To ensure you are able to evidence learning and the impact on your practice the CCG recommends you use the training record templates.

GP safeguarding PLT days

These are held bi annually to support GPs and other primary care staff to meet safeguarding training requirements in each of their practices, keep updated and to meet other Practice staff. This training programme is managed by the CCG's safeguarding team. For further information email the team:
